Warehouse & Transportation (ROC)
The Warehouse and Transportation department plays a crucial role in Goodwill’s retail and recycling initiatives. It provides transportation services to all of our retail stores and donation centers, delivering product to stores, and transporting processed merchandise and recyclable materials to our Retail Operations Center (ROC).
The Warehouse team processes items that are being recycled from our stores and sold to salvage vendors. This department includes roles such as salvage grading, dock helper, and forklift, baler, and tipper operator, and more.
The Clearance Center team processes and moves donated merchandise in preparation for sale in the clearance outlet. All members of this team are cross-trained to work as a retail sales associate or as forklift operators.
The Transportation team operates all warehouse vehicles to pick up, transport and/or deliver donated goods. Members within this department are responsible for coordination of transportation, storage, or distribution of donated merchandise for Goodwill.
The E-Commerce team works together to list and process specific items that will be sold on shopgoodwill.com. They largely price jewelry and other unique items, pulling orders from shelves or staging area, and generate packing and postage labels for sold items.
